Corona Virus: The increasing figures of Corona in the country have once again started scaring. 63 cases of sub-variant JN.1 of Covid 19 were reported, out of which 34 cases were found in Goa. Giving Corona update on Monday, officials said that nine cases have been reported from Maharashtra, eight from Karnataka, six from Kerala, four from Tamil Nadu and two from Telangana. NITI Aayog member (health) Dr VK Paul had said last week that scientists in India are closely investigating the new sub-form of corona virus and states need to increase testing and strengthen their surveillance systems.

All variants have mild symptoms
Regarding the new variant of Corona, officials said that the number of patients infected with JN.1 has increased in many states of the country, but there is no reason for immediate concern because 92 percent of the infected patients are receiving treatment while staying at home. He had said that there has been no increase in the rate of hospitalization and the finding of Covid-19 among those hospitalized due to other medical conditions is a coincidental case.

628 new cases of corona virus

The Union Health Ministry said on Monday that 628 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in India and the number of patients under treatment is 4,054.

According to the updated data of the ministry till 8 am on Monday, the death toll due to Covid-19 has reached 5,33,334. One death of one patient was recorded in Kerala in the last 24 hours. The JN.1 (BA.2.86.1.1) sub-form of corona virus surfaced in Luxembourg in August. It is a hereditary component of BA.2.86 (Pirola) of SARS CoV-2.
