Godda, Nirabh Kishore: The joy of Holi turned into mourning in Thakur Gangti block of Godda district when two youths drowned in the pond. Both of them had gone to the pond to take bath after playing Holi. Both the deceased youths were residents of Heera Khuthari village.
There is mourning in the village due to the death of two youths from the same family
After the tragic incident that took place in Mehrama police station area of Thakur Gangti block on Tuesday (26 March), there is mourning in the entire village. It has been told that both the youths of the same family had gone to take bath in the pond of Heera Khuthari village of Thakur Gangti police station area.
People stopped playing Holi in the village
Both of them drowned in the pond while taking bath. As soon as the news of this was heard, there was a mournful silence in the village. People stopped playing Holi. Villagers told that 22-year-old Dipankar Kumar and 20-year-old Roshan Kumar, drenched in the colors of Holi, had gone to the pond to take bath.

The doctor declared the youth dead in the hospital
Deepankar and Roshan suddenly slipped into deep water while swimming in the middle of the pond. After this both of them could not come out of the pond. Later the villagers took both of them out of the pond. They were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared both of them dead. Mehrama and Thakur Gangti police station in-charge reached the spot and started investigating the case.
