Action and family drama has become everyone’s favorite these days, especially family films have once again made a comeback, in this sequence Yash Raj Films has brought before you a new offering in the form of Vijay Acharya film The Great Indian Family. The good thing about this film is that there is newness in the story, an attempt has been made to explain the current situation in a sarcastic manner and with a touch of humor. This film also tries to teach the lesson of mutual harmony and secularism. But sadly, despite being made with good intentions, the story is not completely complete.

Same story of religion and society

The story is based on the life of Vicky Kaushal’s character Ved Beas Tripathi alias Bhajan Kumar, who lives in Balrampur, a boy who is Muslim by birth, but he gets a Hindu family, that too a pure Pandit family. And then from here how the entire story of religion and society has been conveyed to the audience. What kind of things go on in an Indian family, what is the structure, on what aspects a family runs, it has been shown very well. Especially what happens in an emergency situation has also been depicted completely. Ved alias Bhajan Kumar wants to become a big singer, who goes to bhajans and jagratas in his area, but what a twist comes in his life, when this secret is revealed to him and the truth comes out that he is a Muslim. The director has tried to portray in an interesting manner the boy of the family and how he, who used to be the apple of everyone’s eyes in the family, suddenly becomes an thorn in the eyes of the people. This comes to him through a letter. The director has found a good vision with good actors, but has fallen short in presenting it. That’s why the story seems more over-dramatic rather than heart-touching. The story continues as expected. The songs and music of the film remain weak.

all average in acting

Talking about acting, considering how impressive an actor Vicky is, he has played an unnecessarily loud character in this film. He has proved to be less powerful in this film than his other powerful characters. Manushi is unable to impress even in this film. He needs a good acting coach. Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa have also done good acting. Only Saadia Siddiqui has tried to bring newness to her character. The character of new artist Ujjwal attracts attention. Overall, there is nothing new in the film. But for a well thought out film it can be watched once.
