Oraxa Mantis Electric Bike: Till now you must have heard about motorcycles made of iron parts, but the first electric motorcycle made of aluminum has been launched in India. This work has been done by two-wheeler manufacturing company Orxa Energies. The company has named it Orxa Mantis Electric. The biggest thing is that once fully charged, this electric motorcycle can travel a distance of at least 221 kilometers.

Let us tell you that the company has launched Orxa Mantis electric motorcycle in Bengaluru. Its starting price in the ex-showroom of Bengaluru has been kept at around Rs 3.60 lakh. The motorcycle comes in only one variant, standard. Two color options are available in this bike, which include Urban Black and Jungle Grey.
Orxa Mantis Electric’s battery, electric motor and range
This bike of Orxa Energies has been built on all aluminum aerospace grade alloy frame and subframe. It has a liquid cooled motor, which generates power of 20.5 kW (27.87 PS) and torque of 93 Nm. The liquid cooled motor installed in this electric bike gets power from 8.9 kWh fixed battery pack, through which this motorcycle covers a range of 221 kilometers on full charge. The curb weight of the Orxa Mantis motorcycle is 182 kg, while its ground clearance is 180 mm. The company claims that the top speed of this bike is 135 kilometers per hour. This motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.9 seconds.
Battery charging, suspension and brakes of Orxa Mantis Electric
The battery of Orxa Mantis electric bike takes five hours to be charged from 0 to 80 percent using a 1.3 kW standard charger, while with the ‘Blitz’ charger its battery gets fully charged in 2 hours 30 minutes. At the same time, this motorcycle has been provided with 41 mm telescopic suspension at the front, while preload adjustable suspension has been provided at the rear. For braking, 320 mm and 230 mm disc brakes have been provided at the front and rear with single channel ABS (standard). For riding, it has 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with Seat Zoom tubeless radial tyres.
Features and competition of Orxa Mantis Electric
The Orxa Mantis electric motorcycle has a 5-inch TFT display with features like smartphone connectivity, navigation, phone notifications and ride analytics. It also has twin projector LED headlights with all-LED lighting setup. Apart from this, this bike is also provided with regenerative braking feature along with ride-by wire throttle control. Orxa Mantis motorcycle will compete with Ultraviolette F77 in the Indian market.
