After being safely taken out of the tunnel, the families of the five workers heaved a sigh of relief and thanked the government and all the agencies involved in the rescue operation.

Patnaik said in a statement that he was extremely happy to know about the successful rescue operation. I am very happy that our workers will return home safely. He said that the state government has sent a team and family members of the stranded laborers to the incident site in Uttarkashi district. The Chief Minister thanked the Uttarakhand government, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and military teams for the successful rescue operation and said, this proves that India can do anything and everything to save the lives of its citizens. . The five laborers from Odisha trapped in the tunnel include Khirod (Raju) Nayak, Dhiren Nayak and Vishweshwar Nayak of Mayurbhanj district, Bhagwan Bhatara of Navrangpur and Tapan Mandal of Bhadrak. In Talabeda village of Bhatara, local people celebrated their exit from the tunnel by bursting crackers and playing drums.

Happy atmosphere among family members

A relative of the worker said, “We are very happy to know that Bhagwan was rescued safely from the tunnel.” We thank God for this. After the completion of the rescue operation, the local people of Bangriposi greeted the family members of Dhiren Nayak. Dhiren’s wife said that she received a call from family members camping in Uttarakhand. He told that my husband has been saved safely. Khirod’s father Mochiram Nayak thanked the personnel involved in the campaign and said that he would not let his son go to Uttarakhand for work again. He said, I request the state government to provide work to my son here.
