New Delhi : American electric luxury car maker Tesla has displayed the Model 3 sedan made in China at the Beijing trade fair after launching it in the international market. In this trade fair, the American automaker has displayed the Tatah Red model, which indicates the first change in the lineup of the best seller Model Y in the global market in 2020.
Tesla’s Model 3 is a battery electric mid-size sedan with a fastback body style manufactured by Tesla Inc. in 2017. The Model 3 was marketed by Tesla as a more affordable model for more people than previous models. The Model 3 was the world’s best-selling plug-in electric car for three years from 2018 to 2020, before being ousted from the top spot by the Tesla Model Y, a crossover SUV based on the Model 3 chassis. With this, the Model 3 became the first electric car to cross one million units in terms of global sales in June 2021.

According to media reports, Tesla has made a lot of changes in its Model 3 sedan. Codenamed Project Highland, this updated Model 3 has been improved from cosmetic changes to range and features. The new Model 3 features redesigned front and rear profiles with a focus on enhancing both performance and function. Due to this it has become smoother and better aerodynamic. These changes will not only help in increasing its range but will also help in reducing stretch and air. Initially this update will be offered in Europe-spec rear-wheel-drive and long-range editions.
Tesla Model 3 Sedan: Design
The updated Model 3 gets a sharper front end with redesigned headlamp housing and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The new multi-spoke wheels and signature wraparound C-shaped LED taillights add to its aggressive looks. The length of this electric sedan has increased slightly and now its length is 4,720 mm. While its height has been reduced by one inch and ground clearance by 2 mm. Tesla has introduced two attractive color options in the lineup like Stealth Gray and Ultra Red.
Tesla Model 3 Sedan: Range
Talking about its electric range, the Model 3 RWD with 18-inch wheels will get an estimated WLTP range of 554 km (344 mi), while its Long Range model will get a range of 678 km (421 mi). This range is 11 to 12 percent more than before. The RWD and LR AWD versions of the sedan can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.1 seconds and 4.4 seconds respectively.
Tesla Model 3 Sedan: Interior
Inside the new Model 3, more comfort features have been provided. New ambient lighting system, sound glasses and advanced sound proof materials have been used. Its 15.4-inch central screen now has thinner bezels, and an additional 8.0-inch rear display with integrated controls has been introduced. A clean dashboard with steering-mounted controls and column-mounted levers, the LR model now gets 17 speakers and the RWD model gets nine speakers for an immersive audio experience. Along with this, its microphone quality has also been improved.

Tesla Model 3 was introduced in the international market in 2017 and now the company has launched its facelift model. Many updates have been made in the exterior and interior design of the new Tesla Model 3 electric sedan. It has the same powertrain options as before, but its range has now increased a lot.
