Tender issued for Ranchi-Littibeda Expressway, construction to be done in the first phase

Ranchi: NHAI has issued the first phase tender for the expressway to be built from Ranchi to Littibera (Odisha). In the first phase, construction is to be done from Sithio (Ring Road) of Ranchi to Latra. Its length is about 47 km. The process of land acquisition is being done. Efforts are being made to start the work in four to five months. A total of 147 km expressway is to be constructed. Out of this, about 121 km road is to be constructed in Jharkhand. At the same time, about 26 km road will be built in Odisha.

Construction will be done in three phases in Jharkhand. Under this, roads will be constructed from Sithio to Latra, Latra to Kyondapani and from Kyondapani to Keriya. The entire road will be green field. That means the road is being constructed on a new alignment. The alignment of this road had to be changed two-three times. Complete arrangements have been made keeping in mind the safety of forest areas and wild animals. Efforts are being made to ensure that the construction of the expressway does not cause any problem to the wild animals.

Pipe damaged, one lakh population did not get water for four days

While laying the cable, the pipeline has been damaged near Kanke Road, Chandni Chowk. Due to this, water supply has stopped in more than half a dozen areas including Gandhinagar, Kanke Road, Rinpass for the last four days. About one lakh people are not getting water. People are troubled by this. People of the area are asking for water from tankers to meet their needs. At the same time, they are buying jar water for drinking. Water supply in these areas comes from Gonda Dam. In this regard, Departmental Engineer Shubham Upadhyay said that two days ago information was received about damage to the pipeline. The eight-inch pipe has been damaged at three places by the cable company. There is difficulty in completing the work due to hard rock coming under the damaged pipe. The repair work of the pipeline is in the final stages. Efforts are being made to restore water supply in these areas by Monday.
