Tempo overturned while returning from fair in Dumka’s Raneshwar, one dead, four injured

Ranishwar: Late on Monday night, a young man died after his tempo overturned on Raghunathpur Barmasiya Road in Ranishwar police station area. According to the information, a young man died and others were seriously injured when the tempo overturned while returning from Ranishwar fair. 18 year old Sumit Mal died in the accident. He was a resident of Barmasiya of Shikaripada. The injured include 15-year-old Dawood Mal, 16-year-old Pushpa Kumari, 35-year-old Kajoli Devi, 18-year-old Malu Das. All are residents of Barmasia.

According to the information, a dozen people were returning home from Ranishwar Fair riding on a tempo. In the same sequence, near Asanbani petrol pump, the driver lost control of the tempo and the tempo overturned on the road itself. According to eyewitnesses, a truck had come from the front and there was also a turn there. Due to the driver not being able to see the way due to the bright lights of the truck, the driver lost his control and the tempo overturned. Immediately after the accident, local people reached the spot and called an ambulance to take the injured to the hospital. But the ambulance did not arrive for a long time. After that the local people sent the injured to CHC Ranishwar by tempo. Where in CHC, Dr. Azad Shekhar Pandit declared Sumit Mal dead and after giving first aid to the injured, referred him to Siuri. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning among the families of the deceased.
