Best Selling SUV in India: The demand for SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles) has increased significantly in India. The share of SUV cars in the total cars sold in the market is 50 percent. The surprising thing is that two SUV cars of Tata Motors, Nexon and Punch, have become the queen of the market. These two cars are at the first and second positions in the list of top-10 SUVs sold during the financial year 2023-24. After this comes Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Creta.
How many Nexon-Punch SUVs were sold in the financial year 2023-24?
According to media reports, during the financial year 2023-24, Tata Motors sold about 1,71,697 units of Nexon, while it sold about 1,70,076 units of micro SUV Punch. After these two cars comes Maruti Brezza. Maruti Suzuki sold about 1,69,897 units of this SUV during the last financial year. At the same time, Hyundai Creta has been at fourth position in terms of sales. The company sold 1,62,773 units of this SUV car during the entire financial year.
Features of Tata Nexon SUV
Let us tell you that the price of Tata Nexon in the ex-showroom of India is between Rs 8.15 lakh to Rs 15.60 lakh. However, the price of its Dark Edition is between Rs 11.45 lakh to Rs 15.80 lakh. The company has recently launched its Dark Edition. Nexon SUV car is available in total four variants. This is a five seater car. It has a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (120 PS/170 Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (110 PS/260 Nm). It has the option of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) with turbo-petrol engine, while 6-speed manual and 6-speed manual with diesel engine. AMT option is available.
As features, the Tata Nexon SUV car has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, 10.25-inch full digital driver display, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging and height adjustable front seat, cruise control and paddle shifters. The ex-showroom price of Tata Motors’ micro SUV car Tata Punch is between Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh. This is also a five seater car. It has a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is capable of generating 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. With this engine it is provided with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. This car also comes with CNG engine. In this variant, its engine is capable of generating 77 PS power and 97 Nm peak torque. 5-speed manual gearbox is provided with CNG variant. As features, it has been provided with features like 7.0 inch touchscreen system, semi-digital instrument cluster, auto AC, automatic headlights, wiper and cruise control. Apart from this, for the safety of the passengers, it has been provided with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking camera.
