jamshedpur : Tata Steel Jamshedpur and Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL, formerly known as JUSCO) have once again applied to increase the cost of electricity in Seraikela Kharsawan district including Adityapur. On the basis of this application, Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission has fixed the date of public hearing. Under this, the tariff hearing of Tata Steel UISL will be held on March 19 from 3 pm in the auditorium of Adityapur Auto Cluster Building. There will be a public hearing on Tata Steel’s electricity tariff at 11 am on March 20. It is to be organized in the hall of Golmuri Club. Tata Steel has applied for the tariff for Jamshedpur for true up for the financial year 2022-2023 and the annual revenue requirement for the years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. There will be a public hearing on this basis. The Regulatory Commission had asked to submit suggestions, comments and objections regarding this by 24th February. Consumer complaints regarding this were invited through website or e-mail, to which the reply was given by March 2.
Electricity tariff had become expensive a year ago
About a year ago, in the month of November 2023, the tariff was made expensive. After this, after about four months, the application for increase in tariff was again given by Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL. Now there will be a fresh public hearing regarding this.
