Tapovan Hills and Caves are considered a very famous tourist place in Deoghar as well as other cities around it. This place is also famous for the temple of Lord Shiva.
There are many caves in Tapovan Hills, which are also quite popular. It is said that Shivalinga of Lord Shiva is also installed in the cave and sage Valmiki used to come to this place to perform penance. Many devotees also come here to offer water.

There are many Hindu and Jain caves in the caves of Tapovan. These caves were built in the Gupta period. Although there are many caves here and the period of construction of some caves may be different, but most of these caves were built by the Gupta kings. Therefore we can say that the construction of these caves started in approximately the third century.
Tapovan Ashram and Tapovan Temple are also located here, where you can go and worship Lord Shiva. Apart from Lord Shiva, temples of many other deities are situated on the top of the hill.
