Top officials of these supply platforms gave this information on social media platform X on Sunday about the trends of orders received on New Year’s Eve.
6 years worth of orders delivered on the last day of 2023
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal said in his post that on New Year’s Eve, his platform received almost the same number of orders on New Year’s Eve during 2015-2020 as during 2015, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. were taken jointly. Excited about the future. Describing this as an interesting figure, Goyal said that Zomato is excited about the future.

Blinkit broke many records
Albinder Dhindsa, co-founder and CEO of Blinkit, said that it received the highest number of orders and orders per minute in a single day. Apart from this, the record of maximum number of soft drinks, tonic water, chips and tips received by our delivery associates in a day has also been broken. Highest ever orders per minute
Swiggy CEO Rohit Kapoor said in a post on X, New Year’s Eve broke all records of Swiggy Food and Instamart. Couldn’t be happier than this with the team. Kapoor said in another post that Swiggy even surpassed the orders received during the Cricket World Cup final on Instamart. Orders per minute on Swiggy Instamart are the highest ever. This is 1.6 times higher than our previous high during the World Cup finals.

Kapoor said in another post that Swiggy even surpassed the orders received during the Cricket World Cup final on Instamart. Kapoor said, the orders per minute (OPM) on Swiggy Instamart is the highest ever. This is 1.6 times higher than our previous high during the World Cup finals. During this period, more than 4.8 lakh orders for biryani were received on Swiggy and 1,244 dish orders were placed per minute.
Maximum orders received from these cities
According to Buy Now, Pay Later app Simple, 55 percent more transactions were done in the last hours of December 31, 2023 and early hours of January 1, 2024 compared to the same period last year. The highest number of orders were placed from metros like Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai, while cities like Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad also received huge orders from customers on New Year’s Eve. The interesting thing is that this time the preparations for the New Year started one hour late. According to Simple App, this year most orders came between 8 and 9 pm, whereas last year most orders came between 7 pm and 8 pm.
