Jharkhand News: Under tight security from Delhi Tihar Jail, Mohammed Abdul Rehman alias Katki, a suspect of terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, was brought to Jamshedpur by the police of Bistupur police station on the basis of production. A total of eight armed forces police teams from Delhi, Jharkhand and Jamshedpur were deployed around the security cordon of Katki. He was produced in the court of ADJ-Forest Judge Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay at 2 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023. The court has fixed the next date for hearing the case on September 20, 2023.
Permission granted to visit Jamshedpur on August 10, 2023
Earlier, suspected terrorist Katki, through lawyer Dilip Kumar Mahato, had applied in the court of ADJ-1 on June 23, 2023, requesting to bring the suspected terrorist from Delhi for the hearing of the case pending in Jamshedpur. The court had given permission for this on August 10, 2023.
