According to astrological calculations, after 178 years, the last solar eclipse of the year is going to occur on Sarva Pitru Amavasya. Earlier, solar eclipse on Sarva Pitru Amavasya had occurred in the year 1845. This time the solar eclipse will not be visible in India, due to which its Sutak period will also not be valid.

Sutak period starts before solar and lunar eclipses. In astrology, Sutak period is considered inauspicious or contaminated period. Worship of God is prohibited during Sutak period. Along with this, the doors of temples are also closed. Not only this, eating and drinking is also considered prohibited during Sutak period. Sutak period starts 12 hours before the solar eclipse. During this period, doing any kind of auspicious work in your house is considered prohibited. Although The Sutak period of the solar eclipse occurring on Saturday, 14th October, will not be valid.
