Surprise inspection conducted in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi

Ranchi: A surprise inspection was conducted in Birsa Munda Central Jail of Ranchi at 9 pm on Sunday night under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Sinha and Superintendent of Police Chandan Sinha. During this, Additional District Magistrate Law and Order Ranchi Rajeshwar Nath Alok, Sadar Ranchi Sub-Divisional Officer Utkarsh Kumar, City SP K.V. Apart from Raman, Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters-2 Arvind Kumar, Ranchi Sadar DSP Sanjeev Kumar Besra, 6 police station in-charges of Ranchi were included.

140 male and 20 female constables were also involved in the investigation.

Along with these officials, 140 male and 20 female constables along with the jailer and jail superintendent were included. Before the inspection, the people involved in the investigation campaign were divided into 16 groups. After this, all the wards, hospitals and kitchens were inspected. Apart from this, information about the meeting time and arrangements of the prisoners was taken from the jail management.

No objectionable items were recovered

No objectionable item of any kind was recovered during the investigation. Let us tell you that this was done in the light of the guidelines of the Election Commission of India in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections. Officials involved in the investigation say that this way surprise inspection of the Central Jail will continue in future also.
