Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha general secretary cum spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya and Congress working president Bandhu Tirkey said that there is an emergency like situation in the country. The situation of dictatorship continues. People are troubled by this. The public will answer to the central government in the elections. Both the leaders were holding a joint press conference in the JMM office. During this, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that Congress’s brothers are joining the Tirkey party. Bandhu Tirkey will also be the joint candidate of the alliance from Lohardaga. Shri Bhattacharya made him wear JMM belt and said that he is welcome in the family. The media persons were surprised to hear this. Then Shri Bhattacharya said, don’t feel bad, it is Holi.
Targeted at BJP
Bandhu Tirkey said that Hemant Soren had to resign. A similar incident happened with Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal, but there is a need to understand how many of his people will go to jail when our government is formed at the Center after the 2024 elections. This is not how the country works. In Jharkhand, the public will prove its worth to BJP.
The country’s democracy is under attack
Supriyo Bhattacharya said that PMLA is used by ED. Its basic spirit is Prevention of Money Laundering, its Clause 15 states that ED can arrest anyone except the President, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Governor. There is no transaction of money in the 8.5 acres of land in which Hemant Soren has been implicated and sent to jail. Similarly, there is a money trail of Rs 300 crore being said in the liquor scam. But the money has not been caught anywhere. During the time when the liquor policy was in place, Aurobindo Pharma had bought electoral bonds and given them to BJP. Whereas Congress’s accounts were sealed in a 30 year old case. Whereas Fine makes only Rs 10 thousand. This is an attack on the democracy of the country. The President and the Supreme Court should take cognizance of this and give instructions to the Election Commission.
There is a fear that the central forces may attack the office.
Mr. Bhattacharya has expressed apprehension that given the situation, there is a possibility that central forces like CRPF, SSB might attack and demolish our office. At present, the Center has attacked not only Kejriwal, Soren or Congress, but the entire country. The Election Commission changes the DGP of the state, but why does it not change the heads of the central forces, ED, CBI, do they not come under policing?
