Prayagraj: The Supreme Court heard the matter of custody of both the minor children of Mafia Atiq Ahmed. A bench of Supreme Court Justice S. Ravindra Bhatt and Justice Arvind Kumar has ordered the children to be sent to the Juvenile Home for recording their statements. The bench has said that an independent lawyer will meet both the children at home and record their statements. Petitioner Shaheen Ahmed i.e. Atiq Ahmed’s sister has given the name of the lawyer to the court. The Supreme Court will hear the matter on 28 August.
Atiq’s sister sought custody of both the children
In fact, Atiq Ahmed’s sister Shaheen Ahmed has filed an application in the Supreme Court demanding the custody of both the minor children of Atiq. Shaheen Ahmed has challenged the Allahabad High Court’s decision to deny custody of the children to the Supreme Court. Atiq’s minor sons Ejam and Aban are lodged in the children’s home in Rajrooppur.
Meanwhile, a news has come to the fore regarding both the minor sons of Atiq. Giving information, Anita Aggarwal, member of the UP State Child Rights Protection Commission, has told that both the minor sons of Atiq are fasting in the children’s home and full arrangements have been made for their safety. Earlier the news had come that Ahzam and Aban have been sent to the juvenile home by the police, but the police was not ready to tell in which juvenile home they have been kept.
