Jharkhand News: There are three such schools in Chakradharpur of West Singhbhum where 800 students are dependent on one hand pump and toilet. Not only this, due to lack of water in the school, children have to bring water from home. These schools are Raja Narpati Singh Girls High School, Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School and Town Hall Middle School located in Chakradharpur. The condition of the education system is poor. All three schools are run in the same building. There are approximately 800 students enrolled in the three schools. There are no facilities available for students in all three schools. Students are facing a lot of difficulties. Due to this the education of the students is being affected.
There is no facility to keep bicycles in the school premises
It is known that the school was established in the year 1958 in the name of the king and queen of the area. At present the condition of the school is very bad. There is a huge shortage of teachers in the school. Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School is running with only three teachers. At the same time, there are only two teachers in Town Hall Middle School. There is a huge shortage of subject wise teachers. In such a situation, quality education can be estimated. There is no facility to keep bicycles in the school premises. There is a severe shortage of rooms in this school with so many numbers.
Contaminated water comes out from hand pump
On one hand, the government is spending crores of rupees to improve the condition of schools, on the other hand, the district administration is not paying attention to the plight of Raja Narpati Singh Girls High School and Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School. The school does not have basic facilities like drinking water. There is a hand pump, but contaminated water comes out of it. The children and teachers here have to bring water from home. Not only this, the condition of the school toilet is very bad. Girl students and female teachers face the most problems.
School boundary wall collapsed, students facing problems
The boundary wall of Raja Narpati Singh Girls High School and Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School has collapsed in the rain. Due to this the school has become completely unsafe. After school holidays, there is a gathering of anti-social elements. Anti-social elements consume alcohol in the school at night. Liquor bottles are thrown in the verandah. Children have to throw away liquor bottles every day. Not only this, anti-social elements write obscene words on the school walls, the students have to erase them.

There is no proper arrangement for drainage of water from the grounds of Raja Narpati Singh Girls High School and Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School. In the rainy season, children have to enter water. The school management is repeatedly informing higher officials about the problem, but no initiative is being taken. Instead of improving, the situation is worsening day by day. Due to water in the grounds, children are deprived of sports.
The school is surrounded by bushes
Raja Narpati Singh Girls High School and Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School are surrounded by bushes. There is water logging and filth around the school. Big bushes have grown. There is always a fear of poisonous insects among the students. Every day a snake enters the school campus. The school campus is quite big. The condition of the school is deteriorating due to lack of maintenance.
A lot of trouble from anti-social elements: Principal
In this regard, Principal of Rani Rasal Manjari Middle School, Thelma Bage, said that anti-social elements are causing a lot of trouble. Liquor bottles have to be thrown away from the school campus. Due to damage to the boundary wall, anti-social elements gather in the evening. Senior officials have been informed regarding this. Due to shortage of subject wise teachers, there is difficulty in teaching and learning. Despite having a handpump in the school premises, there is not adequate water facility. The condition of toilet is not good.
