Therefore, preparations are being made to give Lok Sabha ticket from Ranchi to the leader of Kudmi community.
Congress wants to sail to Ranchi by relying on Mahato candidate.
Congress believes that if the party gives ticket to Mahato on Ranchi Lok Sabha seat, then it will be easier to ensure victory here. Many important leaders are in touch with Congress. This also includes Ramtal Chaudhary, who won elections several times on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. Amar Chaudhary, who was the registrar of Ranchi University, is also in touch with Congress. Both these leaders are camping in Delhi.

Congress has decided on 3 candidates from Jharkhand, doubts over Ranchi
Congress had decided candidates for 14 seats in 4 states on Wednesday night. In this, Congress has made 3 candidates from Jharkhand namely Kalicharan Munda from Khunti, Sukhdev Bhagat from Lohardaga and Jaiprakash Bhai Patel from Hazaribagh. There was discussion that Subodh Kant Sahay’s ticket from Ranchi has been confirmed, but his name was not in the list. Subodh Kant Sahay has put all his efforts for the ticket and he is present in Delhi only.
Subodhkant Sahay’s position is weak in the party’s internal survey.
It has been revealed from reliable sources of Congress that in the internal survey conducted by the party, it has been told that the condition of Subodh Kant is not good. Therefore, the party has decided to field Mahato candidate. In such a situation, there are many important leaders including Ramtal Choudhary and Amar Choudhary, who are in touch with Congress in Delhi. The decision on the candidate for Ranchi Lok Sabha seat can be taken by Thursday (28 March) evening.

Subodhkant Sahay won from Ranchi several times, also became a minister at the Centre.
It would be relevant to mention here that Subodh Kant Sahay has won the Ranchi Lok Sabha seat several times. He has also been a Union Minister. Ramtahal Chaudhary and Subodhkant Sahay have been traditional rivals, but in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP sidelined Ramtahal Chaudhary and made Sanjay Seth its candidate.
Subodh Kant or Ramtal Choudhary in Ranchi?
Subodhkant Sahay had contested the elections against Seth. Then Ramtahal Choudhary became rebel. Ramtahal Chaudhary made many claims of victory, but he was not even successful in saving his deposit. Sanjay Seth was elected MP of Ranchi. BJP has once again made Sanjay Seth its candidate. Now it remains to be seen whether Ramtahal Choudhary contests the election from Ranchi Lok Sabha seat on Congress ticket or Subodh Kant Sahay succeeds in getting the ticket once again.
