A photography competition and exhibition was organized by the Mass Communication Department of Central University of Jharkhand at Brambe Campus, in which students of all courses of the university displayed their creativity through the lens. The event was organized by the Department of Mass Communication under the joint aegis of Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Jharkhand, Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) and Center for Environment and Energy Development (CEED).
Environment was the theme of competition and exhibition
The theme of this competition and exhibition was environmental issues like pollution or their solutions. The competition was open to all the students of the university. The program was inaugurated by Prof. Arvind Chand Pandey, Dean of School of Natural Sciences and Prof. Sanjoy Kumar Samdarshi, Head of Department of Energy Engineering. During this, Dr. Vimal Kishore, Dean of School of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Prof. Bhagwan Singh, Dean of School of Management Sciences, Dr. DB Latha of Department of Energy Engineering were also present with him.

Representatives of CEED Outreach Department Laxmi Purti and Rana Abhishek Singh were also present during the programme. After analyzing the pictures, the guests gave their comments and said that all the participants were full of creativity and critical approach. This kind of competition will help them in future and make them think about the environment. After this prizes were distributed among the participants.
25 people participated in the competition cum exhibition
Arjun Manjhi of the Department of Mass Communication, Sujata Kumari of the Department of Environmental Science and Bhavya Bharti of the Department of Mass Communication got the first, second and third prizes respectively. Aryan Pratap Singh and Nikita Anand were given consolation prizes. A total of 25 people from different departments of the university participated in this competition cum exhibition.
Exhibition of 100 photographs was held
About 100 photographs were displayed in the exhibition highlighting environmental problems and their solutions. This program was coordinated by Dr. Sudarshan Yadav and Dr. Amrit Kumar, assistant professors of Mass Communication Department, CUJ. Co-ordinators of the department, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Rashmi Verma, all non-teaching staff, researchers and students were present during the programme.
