The special team of Bihar STF has arrested the notorious wanted criminal Ujjwal alias Avneesh and his associate criminal Shivam alias Golu in the famous Ashutosh Shahi murder case of Muzaffarpur. The police made this arrest from a house in Bhelura Rampur village under Janipur police station of Patna district. A regular pistol, six live cartridges and two mobile phones were recovered from them. Many serious cases including murder and extortion are registered against Ujjwal alias Avneesh in various police stations of Patna district. Muzaffarpur police was also searching for him. After the famous Ashutosh Shahi murder case, a special team had raided his house. But he was absconding.
Police attacked during raid
It is said that Ujjwal has good relations with Govind, who was arrested in this murder case. Both of them also talked to each other. After the murder of Ashutosh Shahi, when the police raided Silaut Gajapati village of Govind, the police got the clue of Ujjwal from there. After this the police raided Ujjwal’s house. During this period, police was also attacked in Janipur village. The STF team also interrogated both of them for a long time on Monday in connection with the murder of Ashutosh.
Pistol also recovered from Ujjwal
It is being told that the pistol recovered from Ujjwal was used in the murder of Ashutosh Shahi. However, this can be confirmed only after forensic examination is done along with the bullet found from the dead body of Ashutosh Shahi. If it becomes clear in this investigation that the pistol recovered from Ujjwal was used in the murder, then the police will get an important clue in this case. Which will help in punishing the accused.
