Charge sheet filed against 17 accused
Earlier, senior Supreme Court advocate Vikas Pahwa, senior advocate Maninder Singh, advocate Inderjit Sinha, Rishabh Kumar appeared on behalf of the applicant. He told that this is not a case of terror funding, but a case of extortion. In this case the applicant is the victim, but he has been made an accused. The debate in the matter remained incomplete. It is noteworthy that the then MD of the applicant Modern Power Company, Mahesh Aggarwal, Amit Aggarwal alias Sonu Aggarwal and Ajay Kumar Singh have filed separate petitions. He has challenged the lower court’s order rejecting the discharge petition. The hearing of the terror funding case is going on in the special court of NIA. The FIR lodged at Tandwa police station was taken over by the NIA in February 2018. After researching the case, NIA had filed a charge sheet against 17 accused.
