Ranchi: After the incident of absconding accused Shakib alias Deva during treatment from RIMS, SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha inspected the RIMS prisoner ward on Monday. Along with this, he held a meeting with RIMS Superintendent Dr. Hirendra Birua and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Shailesh Tripathi. The SSP discussed the living arrangements of the policemen deployed for the security of prisoners brought from outside districts. He said that the security personnel serve in shifts near the patients in the ward, but apart from the deployed police personnel, no one else is given a place to rest. In such a situation, the police personnel become stressed due to not getting any rest. This leads to negligence in security. RIMS should identify a place where the security personnel can rest. He has requested the RIMS management to make arrangements for this.
