The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday launched simultaneous raids at seven places in and around Kolkata in connection with the investigation into alleged irregularities in recruitment in schools in West Bengal. He said raids were being conducted at the residences and offices of Prasanna Roy and others who allegedly “acted as middlemen” in the scam. “These middlemen used to collect money and transfer it to various locations,” the ED official said. We are raiding the residences and offices used by them.
Family members of middlemen are being interrogated
According to information received from sources, ED officials along with a large number of central forces started the raid operation in New Town and Nayabad of Kolkata. He said that the family members of the alleged middlemen are being interrogated. According to the Central Investigation Agency, Prasanna has a flat in this luxurious residence. According to Central Investigation Agency sources, they raided seven places in the city on Thursday to investigate SSC recruitment ‘corruption’. According to ED sources, Prasanna’s office was there. Two places in Newtown and one in Nayabad are also being searched.
