Sports environment created with the inspiration of PM Modi, CM Yogi said in MP Sports Mahakumbh Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said at the closing ceremony of the Parliamentarian Sports Mahakumbh in Gorakhpur on Friday that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khelo India and Fit India have created an excellent environment for sports in the country. To make this environment more wonderful, Uttar Pradesh is developing sports infrastructure in every village. Along with providing all the resources and facilities to the players, their sporting achievements are being linked with huge prize money and government jobs.

CM Yogi was addressing the closing ceremony of MP Sports and Folk Art Mahakumbh organized at Mahant Avedyanath Stadium in Jangal Kaudiya on Friday. On this occasion, he boosted the morale of the winners and runners-up of Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football, Athletics and Wrestling. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that sports infrastructure could not even be imagined in the state till about seven years ago, but today playgrounds and open gyms are being built in every village. There is healthy competition regarding sports in every village.

Sports kits have been distributed to 80 thousand Yuvak Mangal Dals and Mahila Mangal Dals in the villages. Efforts are being made to provide all facilities to the youth by connecting the Panchayat secretariats in the villages with optical fiber. The Chief Minister said that things which were far from imagination are today reality. Today, along with a college, a stadium with all facilities in the name of Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath Ji Maharaj for sports talents and an auditorium for local artists has been built in Jungle Kauria.

UP is the first state in the country to make sports policy

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to make a sports policy. Under this policy, the government has made provision of government jobs for the players who win medals in Olympics, Asiad, Commonwealth and World Championships. He said that the state player Parul Chaudhary, who won the gold medal by defeating the Chinese player in the last Asian Games, has given credit to the sports policy of the state for inspiring her victory.
