A special investigation campaign was launched against school buses by District Transport Officer Praveen Kumar Prakash. A total of 79 buses were checked in the investigation campaign conducted in Sahajanand Chowk and Harmu area. In this, the documents of many vehicles were not updated. Owners of private buses have been instructed to keep vehicle documents updated. The DTO has requested the parents not to allow minor children to drive two wheelers. The school management has also been urged not to allow minor children to come to school by vehicle. Let us tell you that if minors are found driving vehicles, there is a provision of punishment and fine against the parents.

Due to the presence of children in school buses during the investigation campaign, strict instructions were given to the vehicle owners and the school management by the District Transport Officer to keep all the documents related to the vehicles updated, otherwise the vehicles flouting the safety standards will be confiscated at any time. .

Strict action will be taken for negligence

Let us tell you that earlier the tax of buses was waived by the government in Kovid-19. In this, many vehicle owners also took advantage of this and now the vehicle tax is not being deposited by them at present. All such vehicle owners and school management have been instructed by the District Transport Officer to keep the tax and documents of school buses updated. The District Transport Officer said that strict action will be taken against the school management if the taxes and documents of the school vehicles are not updated.

District Transport Officer had also checked in the past and instructed all the school management and the owners of private buses operated under the school to keep all vehicle related documents updated, but it is not being followed. Notice is being issued to the school management and vehicle owner of the school buses whose documents were not found updated.

It is often seen that two wheelers are used by minor children for commuting to and from school. However, the District Transport Officer has requested the parents of the children not to allow minor children to drive two wheelers without a driver’s license.
