Son of deceased Tata Motors bicycle employee will get permanent job, Rs 40 lakh compensation

Jamshedpur: The family members of deceased Tata Motors Bi-Six employee Shriram Sharma (54) will get approximately Rs 40 lakh as compensation. Apart from this, son Rahul Sharma will get scholarship (Rs 11,700) along with permanent job in the company after 3 years of diploma and daughter Isha will get Rs 36,000 annually for her studies up to Plus Two. For the first time, this agreement was made between the management and the union to provide permanent job to the family members of a by-six employee of the company. Jamshedpur Vishwakarma Samaj including its employees welcomed the agreement.

Died of heart attack while on duty

Shriram Sharma, resident of Bhalubasa, was working in Excel Division. He died of a heart attack while on duty on Tuesday. Shriram Sharma was the only earning person in the family. Apart from father, wife, children, his family includes disabled brother Baidyanath Sharma. Father Mahavir Sharma retired from Tata Motors on 2 May 2003. The family is in shock due to the sudden demise of Shriram Sharma. Here, the family members have got relief from the agreement reached with the management under the leadership of Union President Gurmeet Singh Tote and General Secretary RK Singh. The agreement was signed with the support of committee members including union executive president Anil Sharma, vice president Ashok Upadhyay, KP Sharma, Anuj Kumar.

Compromise letter given to family members

Union President Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary RK Singh, ER Head of the company Soumik Roy and other officials jointly handed over the settlement letter to the family members. On Wednesday morning, the deceased’s father Mahavir Sharma, wife Vimla Devi, son Rahul Sharma, daughter Isha and other family members were present along with BJP leader Chandrashekhar Mishra, Jamshedpur Vishwakarma Samaj President Ram Vilas Sharma, Vice President Jitendra Sharma, Pradeep Sharma, General Secretary Sujit Sharma, Assistant General Secretary. Sujit Sharma, Treasurer Ashok Sharma, Women President Meera Sharma, Organization Minister Arun Sharma, Women officers Meena Sharma, Pappi Sharma, Vineeta Sharma reached the union office and demanded from the President and General Secretary to provide compensation to the family members. Union President and General Secretary held talks with company’s VP Vishal Badshah, senior officer Sitaram Kandi, Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni, HR Head Mohan Ghant, ER Head Soumik Roy. After this the decision on compensation was taken. The family members also expressed gratitude towards the management and the union on the decision.

Factory inspector investigated, Shriram Sharma seen falling in CCTV

On Wednesday, Jamshedpur (Zone 1) factory inspector Dhirendra Singh Munda went to Tata Motors and investigated the matter. During this, CCTV footage was also seen, in which By Six employee Shriram Sharma was seen suddenly falling. The factory inspector also interrogated some of the employees working there.
