Son-in-law shot mother-in-law for not saying farewell to wife in Motihari, has done this work with mother

Motihari. A son-in-law shot his mother-in-law in Jatwaliya village of Kundwa Chainpur police station area of ​​the district. The relatives admitted the woman to Dhaka Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment. He died during treatment there. After executing the incident, son-in-law Chhotan Kumar has fled from the spot. Kundwa Chainpur police station chief Raman Kumar, who reached the spot after getting the information, told that the son-in-law was already having a dispute with his in-laws regarding the farewell of his wife. The police have taken the dead body in their possession and sent it for postmortem.

Even in the case registered a year ago, no arrest has been made so far.

In relation to the incident, it is told that Rajkishore Prasad, husband of the deceased Gayatri Devi, works as a driver in Kolkata. He got his daughter Rakhi married to Chhotan, a resident of Ratnopatti, town police station of Darbhanga, but Chhotan had killed his mother Malti Devi on March 29, 2018, before the farewell. He had fled by throwing the dead body in the tank. The dead body of the woman was found on 30 March. After this, Rajkishore refused to bid farewell to the daughter.

Police is looking for many cases including mother’s murder

Chhotan, accused of killing his mother, is absconding for the last five years. He was repeatedly threatening the in-laws to bid farewell to his wife. In the past too, the son-in-law climbed from the roof of the house and attacked the mother-in-law Gayatri Devi with a knife last year. An FIR was registered regarding this by giving an application at Kundwa Chainpur police station. Even after completion of one year, the accused has not been arrested by the police. Kundwa Chainpur Police Station President Raman Kumar accepted that many cases have been registered against Chhotan and no arrest has been made. A case has been registered in Darbhanga district. In Sitamarhi district, an FIR has been lodged in Bairagania police station on the charge of shooting a person.

Wife told danger to her life

Chhotan’s wife Rakhi told that she had gone to pluck moong with her mother in the field near the house. Mother said that you work, I am going ahead. Mother was standing near the house after crossing the field. During this time there was a sound like crackers. When I reached there, I saw that he was running away after killing my mother. While returning after working from the field, the son-in-law ambushed from the east and shot twice at mother-in-law Gayatri Devi. The bullet hit his chest and shoulder, which resulted in his death. He told that Chhotan is a very dangerous person and if the police does not arrest him now, he can kill him too.
