Smuggling of peas from Nepal border, Border Security Force seized two vehicles in Maharajganj, handed them over to Customs.

Maharajganj: Border Security Force personnel have recovered a large consignment of peas being smuggled on the Indo-Nepal border under Nichlaul police station of Maharajganj district. After which the SSB jawans took the drivers of two pickup trucks into custody and after questioning handed them over to the customs. SSB had received information that smugglers were going to take dry peas from India to Nepal in a pickup, after which SSB took this action. While narrating, Border Security Force Jhulnipur in-charge Sub Inspector Jawaharlal Rai said that he had received information through an informer. At night, near Matra village, smugglers are going to take dry peas from India to Nepal in a pickup. Taking this seriously, Jawaharlal Rai formed a special checkpoint team and deployed it on the border after giving necessary instructions.

Attempt to cross Indo Nepal border at 12:00 pm

At around 12:00 in the night, the team deployed at the border noticed that some lights were coming from the vehicles. Who have moved from India to Nepal.
