Six crore old sacred Nepal stones will be worshiped in the Ram temple premises, the idol of Ram Lala could not be built due to crack

Lucknow. Two rare and sacred rocks brought from Nepal to Ayodhya will be preserved in the Ram temple complex. After many tests, they (rocks from Nepal) were not found suitable for the idol of Ram Lalla, so even though they were not used for the idol of Ram Lalla. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra was refused to be used in the construction of the trust that manages the temple. Two huge Shaligram rocks were taken to Ayodhya from Nepal. Idols of Shri Ram and Mother Sita will be made from these. It is claimed that these rocks are about six crore years old. Both these rocks were extracted from Shaligrami river (Kali Gandaki) located in Pokhara in Nepal under the supervision of geological and archeological experts.

Found unsuitable for the idol after several tests

According to a member of the trust, it was a difficult decision to get the ancient rocks out of Nepal for the idol. The member said, “After several tests, they (rocks from Nepal) were not found suitable for the idol of Ram Lalla as they have developed cracks.” “However, the trust has decided to keep these stones in the Ram temple premises only so that devotees can worship them. He is a deity and he will be given full respect. Meanwhile, renowned sculptors are carving three idols of Lord Rama from the rocks of Karnataka and Rajasthan. The best of them will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The member said, “The trust has decided to use rocks from Karnataka and Rajasthan for the idol of Ramlala.”
