Srinagar : In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) on Tuesday raided about six places, including the house of one of the suspected terrorists operating from Pakistan. In this, the SIU team raided the house of terrorists operating from Pakistan in Kishtwar, while the NIA conducted searches at about five places in the state.

Terrorists have fled from home

News agency ANI has reported quoting sources that the SIU raided the house of suspected terrorists operating from Pakistan in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. Sources said that the raid was carried out in the village of Rahalthal in Chhatru tehsil of Kishtwar district. According to the police, the houses of suspected terrorists operating from Pakistan are being raided in the district for the last few days. However, these Pakistan-backed terrorists have fled Kishtwar district and are carrying out terrorist activities.

Terrorists were planning a major attack

On the other hand, in another development, the NIA on Tuesday carried out searches at five places in South Kashmir in connection with terror conspiracy. However, in the month of May this year also, the NIA had raided 13 places in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar and Anantnag districts in connection with terror conspiracy. According to the information provided by the NIA, banned terrorist organizations in Jammu and Kashmir had planned terrorist attacks through improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and small arms.

NIA raided on June 26 as well

Earlier, the investigating agency had said that a major attack was being planned by banned terrorist organizations in collaboration with local youths and overground activists to disturb peace and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir. The suspected terrorists whose houses are being raided have been part of that conspiracy. Officials said that in this connection, earlier on June 26, searches were conducted after conducting raids at several places in Jammu and Kashmir.
