The NIA team on Tuesday conducted raids in Bihar, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Goa in the case related to the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI). In Bihar, the NIA team simultaneously raided Darbhanga, Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Katihar and Siwan districts. At the same time, raids were conducted in Rampur village of UP, Ratlam and Ludhiana of Madhya Pradesh. On the spot, the NIA team interrogated the relatives of the accused. She also took the recovered mobile and some documents with her during the raid. The agency has taken this action to nab PFI members and collect evidence related to them. Two teams were involved in the NIA action in Darbhanga and one team in Motihari. Information is also being received from Siwan about the arrest of two people by the NIA team.
NIA raid in Darbhanga
In Darbhanga, Dr. Sarik Raza of Urdu Bazar Status Dentist and Mohd. Mehboob, resident of Shankarpur village of Singhwada raided together and searched every corner of the house for about three hours. It is noteworthy that earlier also the NIA had raided the Darbhanga Urdu market. Then Sanaullah and Mustakim’s house was searched in the case of PFI related to Phulwari.

NIA team raided the house of Sajjad Ansari in Kuava village of Chakia police station area of Motihari. This raid has been done on the trail of Irshad, already arrested by NIA. Mo Sajjad works in Saudi Arabia. According to sources, the team also took away many other documents including Aadhaar and PAN card found during the search.
Raid in Siwan and Katihar
At the same time, information is being received about the arrest of two people from the Patwa group located near Mauleshwari Chowk in Siwan. At the same time, NIA also raided the house of Mohammad Saqib located in Ankhauli village in Katra block of Muzaffarpur district. Relatives say that the NIA team had come to inquire about their son. Apart from this, NIA is also conducting raids in two villages of Kodha block of Katihar district. The investigating agency raided the houses of Mohd. Nazim in Rajbada village and Mohd. Haseen in Chhapni village.
Terror module was busted last year
It is noteworthy that last year PFI’s terrorist training module was busted in Phulwarisharif, Patna. After that the Ministry of Home Affairs has banned PFI. NIA is probing the terror activities of PFI. In this regard, continuous raids are being conducted at the places of people associated with PFI across the country.
