Simdega: Instructions to promote lift irrigation works in the district

Kamlesh Kumar Pant, aspiring district in-charge officer of the Government of India, reached Simdega on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar Singh welcomed him with a bouquet. The officer in charge took stock of the development works of the district included in the category of aspirational district under NITI Aayog. The district in-charge held a review meeting of the Aspirational District Program with the officials at the Parliament Building. In the meeting, various schemes and programs implemented for related sectors, infrastructure and financial inclusion and skill development were reviewed on the prescribed indicators like health and nutrition, education, agriculture, financial inclusion and other points. Instructed to work towards the targets set for all indicators and achieve the target on time. He reviewed Jal Jeevan Mission, Jal Shakti, Basic Education Campaign, fish farming, malnutrition, anemia and other works. The aspiring district in-charge directed all the district administrations including the Deputy Commissioner to carry out development work by focusing on the indicators of NITI Aayog which have scope for doing much better work. Shri Panth appreciated the development work done by the district administration in the agriculture sector. He asked the district team including the Deputy Commissioner to promote the works related to lift irrigation as much as possible. Appreciated the market, platform shed and library built under the Mitti Project. Shri Panth was also informed about the development works of the aspirational block Bansjore. Presentation was given by ADF Asim Kumar Sinha. Civil Surgeon Dr. Ajit Khalkho, District Planning cum Planning Officer Asha Maxima Lakra, District Agriculture Officer Munendra Das, District Fisheries Officer Kusumalata, District Education Officer Mohan Jha, District Education Superintendent Vinod Kumar, JSLPS DPM Manisha Sancha, LDM etc. were present in the meeting.
