Professor Rajendra Bihari alias RB Lal, Vice Chancellor of Sam Higgin Bottom University of Agricultural Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) in Prayagraj, was arrested by the Crime Branch of Prayagraj on Sunday. Was arrested from Naini’s guest house. A case of attempt to murder was registered against him. In this case, the Crime Branch team of the police arrested him and took him to the Community Health Center located at Chaka Block for medical examination. After this he was presented in the court of ACJM 7 Falak Ganguly. The court accepted the remand application filed by the police. The Vice Chancellor will have to remain in Central Jail Naini under judicial custody till January 2. In fact, teachers of Shutes University were on strike for 11 months due to non-payment of salaries. Agitation and demonstrations were going on regarding this for a long time. On Sunday, the Vice Chancellor had called a delegation of teachers to the guest house of the university for talks. The Vice Chancellor was still talking to the delegation when the Crime Branch team of the police arrived and arrested him. Immediately after his arrest, the police took Vice Chancellor RB Lal to the Community Health Center located in Chaka Block for medical checkup. Here, after getting the FIR register signed by RB Lal, the police took him to the court to present him before the remand magistrate. All this police action took place within half an hour.
Arrest made in case of attempt to murder BJP leader
Let us tell you that the Vice Chancellor of Shutes University, Professor RB Lal has been arrested on the FIR of former BJP leader Diwakar Nath Tripathi. Diwakar Nath Tripathi had filed a case in Naini police station on Sunday that he had come to Arail Dam Road for a walk at around 6.30 am on Sunday morning. During this time, his friend Sarvendra Vikram Singh was also with him. While returning, Vice Chancellor RB Lal came with his two companions in a Fortuner car and when he challenged him with the intention of attempting to murder, his two companions opened fire. In which Diwakar and his companion Sarvendra narrowly escaped. Vice Chancellor RB Lal has been arrested in this case.
Vice Chancellor’s brother has also been arrested
Vinod B Lal, brother of SHUATS Vice Chancellor RB Lal, was also arrested by the Crime Branch about 3 months ago. Vinod, posted as Director Administration in the university, was caught from Mohanlalganj in Lucknow. About 32 cases including religious conversion are registered against him in Ghurpur also. The crime branch was searching for him in connection with an attempted murderous attack in Naini area. Actually, in June 2023, Sarvendra Vikram Singh, living in Civil Line, had filed a case against Vinod Lal for threatening to kill him. Sarvedra alleged that he was going to Naini on Scooty. Then four people who came on two bikes stopped the old Yamuna bridge at gunpoint. Threatened to withdraw the case filed against RB Lal and Vinod B Lal in Fatehpur. Otherwise you will be killed.
