Shringar worship of Baba Baidyanath is supernatural, prisoners make Bholenath’s crown in jail

Subodh Jha (Educationist). Kamna Linga, the ninth of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is a wonderful amalgamation of many supernatural classical traditions in the daily worship method of Baba Baidyanath. Here, special worship of Shivling is done through different configurations of Chatushprahar, in which every day in the evening worship of Baba Baidyanath has its own special religious and spiritual importance. The tradition here beyond imagination makes this Shringar Puja more attractive.

The tradition has been going on since the time of the British.

Every day at the time of Shringar, a flower crown is offered on Baba, which is made by the prisoners in the jail. This tradition has been going on since the time of the British, whose main objective may be to bring the criminals on the right path. The material for the construction of this crown is collected by visiting the deputation security forces in the jail and the prisoner by whom it is to be made has to keep fasting in the small temple located in the jail throughout the day and do it with pure thoughts. In the evening, this crown is brought to the temple by the security guards while visiting the city with Jai Ghosh of Bam Bhole, where the priest offers it to Bholenath. The priest also has to decorate himself without a single drop of water (nirjala) throughout the day.

You get supernatural pleasure just by seeing the makeup

Seeing Baba Baidyanath’s makeup method, one feels supernatural joy. It seems that we are diving in the ocean of devotion. At the time of adornment, the Shivling is cleaned with a new cloth of muslin, after which 1.25 kg of powdered sandalwood is placed on the Shivling and worshiped with different types of flowers, perfumes and other ingredients and finally with a flower crown. They are equipped. This process goes on for hours.

Consumption of Phulel offered on Baba gives relief from incurable diseases

There is a competition to accept Phulel (a special type of perfume) offered on Baba as Prasad. It is said that by consuming Phulel one can get relief from incurable diseases. After adornment, bhog is also offered to Bhole Nath which is prepared from contemporary available materials. Apart from the priest, many families are also useful in the process of decoration. Before Kancha Puja in the morning, the adornment covering is removed and it is believed that taking sandalwood (Ghamchandan) as prasad daily does not lead to premature death.
