Shrimandir Parikrama Project: Collection of rice and betel nuts from every house to offer to Mahaprabhu

Shri Jagannath Temple Parikrama Project (Heritage Corridor) in Puri is to be inaugurated on January 17. For this, circumambulation of Shri Jagannath Arpan Raths has been started across the state. Under this, 16 chariots have reached Rourkela. These chariots will circumambulate in different areas including Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) zone. On Saturday evening, State Labor Minister Sharda Prasad Nayak worshiped the Jagannath chariot in the Jagannath temple complex located in Basanti Colony. On Sunday, these chariots circumambulated at different places of the city. During this period, rice and betel nuts were collected from all the houses. Which will be sent to Shri Mandir. There it will be offered to God. The parikrama started from Sunday morning and the chariot was stopped after sunset. On Sunday, chariots were circumambulated in Sector-1, Sector-2, Sector-6, Sector-16, Sector-13, Madhusudanpali of Ward No. 22 of the Corporation, including Chhend Colony and Ward 1. During this period, worship took place at Koyalnagar Jagannath Temple, Sector-3 Ahirabandh Jagannath Temple, Sector-6 Jagannath Temple, Bandhposh Jagannath Temple, Timber Colony Jagannath Temple, Chhend Jagannath Temple and Vedvyas Temple. In this Rath Parikrama, Sankirtan was performed by Tarini Sankirtan Troupe, Kali Mandir Sankirtan Troupe, Sri Gaur Hari Sankirtan Troupe, Sri Sri Jagannath Sankirtan Troupe, Shiv Mandir Sankirtan Troupe, Patitapavan Kala Parishad, Sri Jagannath Mahila Kirtan Troupe. This program will continue till 15th January.
