Shri Ram had reached Ramrekha Dham of Simdega during his exile period.

Simdega: Lord Ram had come to Ramrekha Dham, a famous pilgrimage and tourist spot in Southern Chhatanagpur of Jharkhand, along with Mother Sita and Lakshman during their exile. Due to the arrival of Lord Shri Ram, the said place was named Ramrekha Dham. People believe that the sage has been performing penance since Tretayuga in the Dham situated at a height of about 1312 feet above sea level. The sages had also given darshan to Brahmalin Ramrekha Baba Jairam Prapannacharya Ji Maharaj. Devraha Baba came here in the year 1958 and talked to Ramrekha Baba in Muniguffa. It is believed that Lord Rama reached the ashram of Agnijihwa Muni, the disciple of Gautam Rishi, during his exile. That ashram was surrounded by mountains, forests and predatory animals. Today this place is famous by the name of Shri Ramrekhadham. Ramrekha Dham is situated in Pakartand block of the district. It was here that Shri Ram spent Chaturmas (four months of rainy season) with Lakshman and Mother Sita.

There are footprints of Shri Ram, Lakshman and Mother Sita.

Mother Sita’s stove, the arched pond for bathing and the rangoli made by her hands (Sita Chowk) are still present. Lakshman himself had arranged for water, which is today known as Guptganga. Footprints of Shri Ram, Lakshman and Mata Sita can be seen at many places of Ramrekha Dham. People believe that some sages here are still engaged in penance. The heat of the Yagya offered by him can still be felt in the fire pit. Ramrekha Dham was discovered by Gangavanshi king Raja Hariram Singh.

Shri Ram drew a long line inside the cave with his arrow.

During the exile period, Lord Shri Ram had come to the said place with Mother Sita and Lakshman. It is believed that to escape the rain, Lord Rama entered the cave of the hill along with Mother Sita and Lakshman. In this sequence, the upper part of the cave was appearing in the head. Then Shri Ram drew a long line inside the cave with his arrow and everyone entered the cave comfortably. Even today, the line drawn by Lord Shri Ram with an arrow can be seen inside the cave. On the basis of this line, the said place was named Ramrekha Dham. The name of Ramrekha Dham was also mentioned in the Ramgaman Yatra that started from Sri Lanka.
