Mathura Krishna Janmabhoomi Case: A hearing was held in the Allahabad High Court on Monday in the case of Shri Krishna birthplace and Shahi Idgah dispute. On behalf of the Muslim side, an argument was given citing the filing of SLP in the Supreme Court. The High Court has reserved the decision after hearing both the sides. Now the court will give its verdict in this case, on which everyone’s eyes are fixed. The possibility of ASI Survey of the High Court Mosque complex and appointing an Advocate Commissioner for this survey was being expressed. Along with this, there was talk of the court’s decision on what would be the process of survey of the disputed premises, who would be the Advocate Commissioner and when the survey would be started. Now the court has reserved its decision. Lawyers from both Hindu and Muslim sides were present in the court on Monday.

Earlier, on December 14, the Allahabad High Court had accepted the demand of conducting a survey of the Shahi Idgah Mosque adjacent to the Lord Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple in Mathura and the appointment of an Advocate Commissioner for this under the supervision of the court, after which now the Shahi Eidgah Mosque, like the Gyanvapi complex, Survey of Idgah Mosque will also be conducted.

The matter is related to the ownership rights of 13.37 acres.

This entire matter is related to the ownership rights of 13.37 acres of land of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Idgah complex. In this, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple is built on about 11 acres of land and Shahi Idgah Mosque is built on 2.37 acres of land. The Hindu side claims that the land on which the mosque is built used to be the prison of Kansa, where Shri Krishna was born. The Hindu side claims the entire land, while the Muslim side says that this land was given for the mosque in the agreement signed in 1968. Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sangh does not accept the 1968 agreement between the Shahi Idgah Committee. He says that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb had demolished many temples during his rule, which also includes Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple. The remains of the temple are still present in the mosque.
