Vibhakar Shastri joins BJP
Vibhakar Shastri, grandson of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, joined BJP in the presence of state Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak in Lucknow, the capital of UP. He has not said anything yet about why he has resigned from the membership of the Congress Party. He announced his resignation from Congress in a post on social media platform X on Wednesday. Addressing Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Shastri wrote that I hereby resign from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress.

It is noteworthy that Congress is facing a major setback in the last few days. On Tuesday, former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan joined BJP. He joined BJP in the party office in Mumbai. Chavan had recently left Congress. Along with this, former Congress MLC Amar Rajurkar has also joined BJP.
