Sheikh Shahjahan: Sandeshkhali Trinamool leader of West Bengal Sheikh Shahjahan was taken for medical examination on Wednesday. While boarding the car, the leader of Sandeshkhali suddenly opened his mouth. He said loudly, “I am the victim of a political conspiracy.” Even when the ED brought him to the CGO complex for medical examination, Shahjahan was heard repeating two words in response to questions about financial transactions that everything was a lie, he had been framed. Multiple corruption cases against Trinamool leader Shahjahan
According to ED sources, several cases of corruption have been found against Sandeshkhali’s Trinamool leader Shahjahan. Apart from ration corruption, corruption also takes place under the guise of fish trade. ED claimed that Shahjahan had tried to convert his black money into white by using fishing business as a cover. ED suspects that in this way he has laundered crores of rupees. However, Shahjahan claimed on Wednesday that all these allegations are false. Actually he has been the victim of a conspiracy. Sheikh Shahjahan is accused of transferring amount of Rs 137 crore
Sheikh Shahjahan, arrested in the case of attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas, is currently in ED custody. Shahjahan and his associates are accused of financial irregularities in Chingadi fish farming and fish import and export business. Taking cognizance of the said matter, ED is investigating by registering an IIR (complaint). In the investigation, ED is finding new facts one after the other. Now, the Central Investigation Agency has come to know that an amount of about Rs 137 crore was transferred to the bank account of Shahjahan’s company through two companies involved in import-export of fish. ED fears that black money worth crores has been converted into white by making fake bills of Chingadi fish trade.
