Stock Market Closing Bell: Amid strong signals from the global market, greenery was seen in the Indian stock market today. The Sensex, filled with enthusiasm, crossed 74 thousand during trading. Bullish trend was also seen on Nifty. A phase of buying of shares was seen in Smosh Cap. The rise in midcap continued even today. Today there was a tremendous rise in metal stocks. By the time the market closed, the Sensex was up 0.16 percent or 114.49 points at 73,852.94. Whereas, Nifty closed at 22,413.05 with a rise of 0.20 percent or 45.05 points. Today 3910 companies were doing business in the market. In this, 1532 companies were closed doing business at loss. Whereas, a rise was seen in the stocks of 2260 companies. There was no change in the stock prices of 118 companies.
How was the business on Sensex-Nifty?
Stocks of 16 companies on the 30-share Sensex of BSE closed in profit. Whereas, losses were seen in the stocks of 14 companies. At the same time, the biggest rise on Nifty was seen in consumer durable, metal and banking stocks. Apart from this, there was a bullish trend in pharma, financial services and health care. A big decline was seen in the IT sector today. Tata Steel’s share price rose by about two percent during trading. Whereas, due to poor results, ECCI Prudential fell by about seven percent. Today on Nifty, stocks of Hindalco, JSW Steel, Cipla, Tata Steel and Power Grid were among the top gainers. Whereas, stocks of Tata Consumer, Grasim, HDFC Life, Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Auto were among the top losers.

The rise in local stock markets continued for the fourth consecutive trading session on Wednesday and BSE Sensex started with a gain of 242 points in early trade. The Sensex based on 30 shares rose 242.49 points to 73,980.94 in early trade. Whereas, Nifty of National Stock Exchange also increased by 63 points and reached 22,431 points. There was better business in other markets of Asia also.
