Share Market: IT stocks filled the stock market with enthusiasm, Sensex closed 454 points higher due to strong buying, Nifty also rose.

Stock Market Closing Bell: After a strong start in the Indian stock market on Tuesday, enthusiasm remained intact throughout the day. Due to strong buying in the market, Sensex rose by 0.63 percent or 454.67 points and closed at 72,186.09. Whereas, Nifty rose 0.72 percent or 157.70 points and closed at 21,929.40. Today the market got support from buying in IT, auto and pharma sectors in the stock market. Due to this, the IT index reached a record high of 52 weeks. However, the banking index remained under pressure throughout the day. Shares of BPCL, HDFC Life, HCL Technologies, TCS and Maruti Suzuki were among the top gainers on Nifty. Whereas, shares of Power Grid Corporation, Britannia Industries, IndusInd Bank, ITC and Kotak Mahindra Bank were included in the category of top losers.

Most of the indices in the stock market were trading better. Oil and Gas, Capital Goods, Healthcare, Metal and IT indices rose by about three percent. Whereas, midcap and smallcap indices saw a rise of about one percent. During this period, investors had made huge profits. The market cap of companies listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange reached a record high of Rs 386.97 lakh crore. Today there has been an increase of Rs 4.23 lakh crore in the market capital of companies.

There was a rise in early trading in domestic markets on Tuesday. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex rose 243.4 points to 71,974.82 points in early trading. Nifty rose 72.9 points to 21,844.60. Among Sensex companies, shares of Tata Consultancy Services, Bharti Airtel, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Maruti, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hindustan Unilever and Mahindra & Mahindra gained the most. Power Grid, NTPC, Axis Bank and JSW Steel. The shares suffered losses. In other Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei and South Korea’s Kospi were in loss, while China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were in profit. American markets closed with a negative trend on Monday.
