Share Market Closing Bell: Amid strong signals from the global market and huge buying in midcap and smallcap shares, there was a stormy rise in the Indian stock market. By the time the market closed, the Sensex rose 1.76 percent or 1241 points and closed at 71,941.57. Whereas, Nifty jumped 1.80 percent or 385 points and closed at 21,737.60. Energy, PSE, Infra shares witnessed a stormy rise since morning. Whereas, Auto, Metal, Realty indices closed with gains. However, some pressure was seen in FMCG shares during trading. ONGC, Reliance Industries, Adani Enterprises, Coal India and Adani Ports were among the top gainer stocks on Nifty. Whereas, Cipla, ITC, LTIMindtree, Bajaj Auto and Infosys were among the top loser stocks of Nifty.
