Shaitaan Box Office Collection: The thriller film Shaitaan, which brings together Ajay Devgan, R Madhavan and Jyotika on screen for the first time, is slowly but surely winning at the box office.
Despite three big releases – Margao Express, Crew and Swatantra Veer Savarkar, the Vikas Bahl directorial remained strong. The film has crossed the Rs 150 crore mark in India.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a tweet on the success of Shaitan, which read, “#Shaitan inching closer to ₹150 crore… despite #Crew and #GodzillaXKong hitting the marketplace.
Shaitan has also crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Let us tell you that the horror-thriller film was released in theaters on March 8 and it received a lot of love from the audience.

Presented by Jio Studios, Devgan Films and Panorama Studios, Shaitan is produced by Devgan, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. It is the Hindi remake of the 2023 Gujarati horror film Vash, written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik.
Ajay had said at the trailer launch event of Shaitan, “It’s not that we (superstars) don’t want to do horror films… If we get something interesting, why not?”
He wrote, “I love this genre and was looking forward to exploring it again. When I did Bhoot (2003), we got a lot of appreciation. After that, I did not find any good script in this genre.”
On the work front, Ajay will next be seen in Amit R Sharma’s period football film Maidaan, in which he plays the role of iconic coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who led the Indian football team to Olympic glory. This film will be released in theaters next week on 10th April on the occasion of Eid.
