Patna High Court Former Siwan MP and strongman leader made accused in land dispute and firing case Mo. Shahabuddin son of Osama Shahab Has been granted regular bail. Osama was still in jail in the case related to the firing incident at Rani Kothi in Motihari. A single bench of Justice Sunil Dutt Mishra gave this direction while hearing the regular bail petition filed by Osama.
Reached the High Court after the petition was rejected by the Motihari court.
It is said that his sister’s in-laws had lodged an FIR against Osama and others for the firing at Rani Kothi in Motihari. After the bail plea of Motihari was rejected by the court, his advocates had filed a bail application in the Patna High Court. After the hearing, Osama was granted bail in the case on Tuesday.
Osama is in jail from November 1, 2023
It was alleged against Osama that during the construction of the market building, a hundred unknown people including Osama came and started firing guns indiscriminately. On the orders of Osama, all the accused started demolishing the wall of the building and also demanded extortion. After which an FIR was lodged against Osama under sections 447, 341, 323, 324, 307, 384, 427, 504, 506, 34 of the IPC and section 27 of the Arms Act. Osama is in jail since 01 November 2023.

Apart from Motihari, a case has been registered against Osama for firing in Hussainganj police station of Siwan district. Osama has been granted bail by Siwan court in the case related to Hussainganj police station incident. But due to the pending bail application in Motihari’s case, he could not come out of Mandal Karasiwan. It is believed that Osama may soon come out of jail after getting bail by the High Court.
What did Osama’s lawyer say?
Osama’s advocate Abhishek Kumar told the court that Osama has been falsely implicated due to an earlier land dispute. There are no firearm related injuries on the complainant. This FIR has been lodged as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
