Severe cold in Bihar, schools will remain closed in Patna till January 23, DM’s order issued

Patna. It is extremely cold in Bihar. Even on Sunday, many districts including the capital Patna remained in the grip of cold wave. Meanwhile, in view of the biting cold, schools in Patna district will now remain closed till January 20. District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has ordered to keep all government and private schools from nursery to eighth class closed. Apart from this, Anganwadi centers will also not operate. Classes from 9th and above will run only between 9am and 3.30pm. Considering the weather, school management can conduct classes of higher class from their level between this time limit.

Schools are closed from January 16 to 8th

In the order issued by the DM, it has been said that special classes can be conducted with adequate precautions for Mission Daksh and board exams. Due to cold, the DM had earlier ordered closure of schools till 8th class till January 16. In view of this, private schools have started online classes. The DM has instructed the District Education Officer, all SDMs and BDOs to monitor at their level that classes from nursery to 8th are not conducted in the cold.

No relief from cold till 25 in Bihar

There is no possibility of people getting relief from cold in Bihar till January 25. On Sunday, cold day like situation prevailed in most of the cities of the state due to drop in maximum temperature. Due to the icy westerly wind blowing in most of the cities of the state, people are feeling the bone-chilling cold. Due to low minimum temperature and combination of easterly winds, there is a possibility of dense fog in most of the cities of the state for a long time on Sunday.
