Shachindra Kumar Dash, Seraikela: Seraikela- The government high school located in Galudih of Kuchai block of Kharsawan district is facing shortage of teachers these days. 11 posts of teachers including the Principal are sanctioned in the school. In this also, seven posts of teachers including Pracharya are lying vacant. Only four teachers have been posted. One teacher each is posted in the school for Hindi, History-Civics, Biology-Chemistry and Geography subjects. Whereas there is no teacher for English, Sanskrit and Mathematics-Physics. In such a situation, there is difficulty in studying these subjects in school. Teachers of other subjects have to teach English and Mathematics-Physics subjects. Being a tribal dominated area, there has been a demand for posting of Ho language teacher for a long time. The posting has not been done yet. The post of Adeshpal in the school is also lying vacant for many years.
School toilet is dilapidated, girl students face problems
The toilet located in the school premises is completely dilapidated. Bushes have grown inside the toilet. In such a situation, everyone from students to teachers face a lot of trouble while defecating. Especially teachers and girl students have to face problems. The DEO, who recently inspected the school, has also become aware of the problems of the school.
The hostel building is becoming ruins, bushes have grown all around.
In the year 2003-04, a 50-bed tribal hostel was constructed for Galudih High School by spending lakhs of rupees. Students were also studying here by staying here for about three-four years. Later, along with the decline in the number of students in the school, the number of students studying in hostels also started decreasing. No one lives here since 2007-08. Now bushes have grown around the hostel. Most of the windows and doors have been broken. Now this hostel is becoming ruins.
143 students study in the school
Established in 1972, currently 143 students study in this school. 95 children study in class nine and 48 children study in class ten. School teachers also believe that if the number of subject-wise teachers increases, the number of students in the school will also increase. Despite the shortage of school teachers, the matriculation examination results have been good. All 32 candidates in the year 2023, 30 out of 32 in 2022 and 34 out of 35 candidates in 2021 have been successful.
Kujur Foundation informed DC about the problems
Social organization Kujur Foundation has informed the Deputy Commissioner of the district about the problems of the Government High School Galudih. Vinod Bihari Kujur, President of Kujur Foundation, has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding solution of all the problems including posting of subject wise teachers in the school, repairing of faulty toilets.

Government High SchoolAccording to Kunj Nirali Purti, Principal in-charge of Galudih, reports have been made several times to senior officials regarding the vacancies of teachers in the school. Due to shortage of teachers, there is difficulty in running the school and teaching smoothly. If teachers are posted subject wise, the school will be run in a better way.
