During this, District Magistrate Dr. Tyag Rajan SM and Deputy Development Commissioner Vinod Duhan honored the guests present on the stage by giving them bouquets and mementos. The first chief guest was ITI Minister of Bihar Government and Minister in-charge of Gaya district, Mohd. Israel Mansoori thoroughly inspected the exhibition of development plan of Bihar government at Kalachakra Ground.
The three-day International Buddhist Festival had a grand start at Kalachakra Ground. During this, sand artist Madhurendra Kumar, resident of Bijbani village of Ghorasahan Bankatwa block of East Champaran district, has created a grand picture of Gayaji Rubber Dam on 10 feet high sand after two days of hard work, spreading the magic of excellent art. This artwork remains the center of attraction.
During the three-day Buddhist festival organized in Bodh Gaya, information about various schemes of Bihar government is also being given to the common people. For this, the district administration has set up stalls related to various departments. In these stalls, information about public utility schemes run by departments is made available.
The district administration has also deployed concerned officers and employees at all the stalls to provide information related to the implementation of all the schemes. During the Buddhist festival organized at Kalachakra Maidan, common people can get information about various government schemes and benefits they get from related departments.
During the festival, glimpses of development in the villages of the district were visible. This time, for the first time, the district administration has organized an exhibition related to the work done in 50 panchayats of the district during the Buddhist Festival. In this, an exhibition related to the excellent work done by the Panchayats of different blocks of the district has been organized in their respective Panchayats, which the visitors coming here during the Buddhist Festival are seeing, hearing and getting information about.
In this regard, DM Dr. Thiagarajan said that such works are being done in many panchayats which are of public utility and are also innovative. Through its exhibition, public representatives will be inspired to do similar work in other Panchayats also.
DM said that through this exhibition organized in the name of Gram Panchayat Darshan, information about the development works done in the villages of the district will also be available. This will inspire people from other Panchayats and try to do better in their respective Panchayats. At the conclusion of the Mahotsav, the first three best performing Panchayats will also be honoured.
On the occasion of this inauguration, Agriculture Minister of Bihar Government Kumar Sarvjit, Gaya MP Vijay Kumar Manjhi, Gaya Zilla Parishad President Naina Kumari, Gaya Zilla Parishad Vice President Dr Sheetal Prasad Yadav, Gurua MLA Vinay Yadav, former MLA Abhay Kushwaha were also present.
