Section 144 implemented in Noida till August 3, police imposed ban on these activities, take care before going outside

Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate of Uttar Pradesh has implemented Section 144 in Noida. Section 144 has been implemented in Noida in view of Moharram, Kisan Andolan, examinations and Asian Junior Athlete 2023 Games. This will be applicable from 20 July to 3 August. This step has been taken in view of maintaining law and order and upcoming programs.

Along with this, worship-recitation or Namaz will not be allowed in public places like on the streets. The Asian Junior Athletics Championship 2023 will be organized on 28 July in Noida. On the other hand, in view of Moharram, a mourning procession will be taken out on July 29.

According to the information, citizens of the country and abroad will also participate in the Asian Junior Athletics Championship. Along with this, a farmer’s movement and examinations are also already proposed in Noida. Due to all these developments, Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissionerate has implemented Section 144 in Noida.

ACP Law and Order Hridesh Katheria said that in these circumstances there is a possibility of disturbing the peace by anti-social elements. In such circumstances, there is a fear of deteriorating law and order.

He said that peace can also be disturbed by the protests of Indian farmer organizations. In such a situation, to avoid any kind of incident, Section 144 has been implemented in Noida for the next 15 days as a precautionary measure.

ACP Law and Order said that in order to maintain peace and harmony, it is very important to stop the activities being done by mischievous elements. For this reason, prohibitory orders have been imposed under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which will be effective from 20 July to 3 August.

Section 144 is applicable till 30 August in state capital Lucknow as well. Section 144 has been imposed in view of entrance exams and demonstrations including Moharram, Independence Day, Hariyali Teej and Nagpanchami.

This time Section 144 has been imposed in Lucknow for two months. It will remain in force till August 30 and till this date there will be a ban on any kind of picketing, demonstrations and processions without permission.

Under this, there is a ban on gathering, procession and demonstration of more than four people in public places. Loud speakers will not be allowed to be played at religious places from 10 am to 6:00 am. Don’t collect bricks and stones etc. on the roof of the house. There will be no protest anywhere other than the Eco Garden picket site. There will be a ban on flying drones near high security zones and important offices. Doing so against the rules will lead to legal action.

Actually, Muharram is on 29th July and next month is 15th August i.e. Independence Day. Along with this, there is the festival of Hariyali Teej on 19th August and Nagpanchami on 21st August. Along with this, Section 144 has been imposed in the capital to ensure that there is no disturbance of peace due to the entrance examinations to be held in Lucknow and the sit-in demonstrations by other protesters, including farmers’ organizations.

In the order issued by JCP law and order Upendra Kumar Aggarwal, it has been said to implement section 144 with immediate effect. This order is valid till 30 August. Along with this, it has been said in the order that if it is not followed, action will be taken in case of offense punishable under section 188 and other relevant sections.

This time Sawan is about two months, which has started from 4th July. Regarding this also, special vigilance is being exercised in the whole of Uttar Pradesh. There are still six Mondays of Sawan left. A large number of Shiva devotees reach the pagodas in Sawan to perform Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek.

Earlier, Section 144, which was implemented in the capital Lucknow, was extended till June 30. This decision was taken to maintain law and order keeping in mind the big Mars of Jeth month, Eid ul Azha (Bakrid) including various examinations, political programs and demonstrations.

Section 144 prohibits the gathering of people at one place. However, according to Article 19 (1) (b) of the Constitution of India, all citizens of India have the right to assemble peacefully. But, if people start gathering with some wrong intention instead of peace, then action is taken against them under section 144. Section 144 is also used to prevent violence, riot, arson, fighting or communal quarrels in any place or city. Apart from this, Section 144 is imposed to maintain peace or restore peace at that place.

what is the punishment for violation

On violation of Section 144, the police takes direct action. Violators are arrested under Section-107 or Section-151. However, bail is available in this. But, the accused can be sentenced to three years or both the punishment and the fine.
