Schools are opening amid severe winter, this change was made in timings

It is extremely cold in North India. Bone-chilling cold is occurring in many states including Delhi, UP, Punjab and Haryana. Fog is also prevalent in many states. Meanwhile, schools are opening in many states including Delhi. However, in view of the severe cold, the school timings have been changed. Classes will start in Delhi schools from 9 am. The Directorate of Education of Delhi Government gave this information in a circular today i.e. Sunday. At the same time, DOE has instructed schools not to conduct classes after 5 pm. It is noteworthy that it is extremely cold in Delhi. The minimum temperature has fallen to 3.5 degrees Celsius. This is the lowest temperature of this winter. Dense fog is also present in many parts of the city.

All schools will open from January 15
DOE has directed in its circular that government and private schools will open from January 15. Nursery, KG and primary classes are also opening in Delhi from tomorrow i.e. 15th January. He said that in view of the current fog situation, no school will start before 9 am and classes will not be held after 5 pm till further instructions. He said that this will also include schools with double shifts. Let us tell you that earlier, in view of the cold wave, the winter holidays in schools for primary class students were increased from January 6 to January 12. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the Meteorological Department in Delhi said that dense fog may remain in the city till January 20.

School timings changed in Punjab also
Here in Punjab also, school timings have been changed in view of the severe cold. In view of the severe winter in Punjab, orders have been given to close all government and private schools up to class five from January 15 to January 21. State Education Minister Harjot Bains said on social media that all the middle, high and senior secondary government and private schools of the state will be opened from 10 am to 3 pm from January 15. No school in the state will open after 4 pm.

It is extremely cold in UP also. Normal life is badly affected due to cold wave and fog. In many districts the minimum temperature has gone down to 5 degrees. At the same time, in view of winter and cold wave, school holidays in many districts of UP have been extended. In view of the cold wave and cold in the capital Lucknow, all government and private schools up to class 8 will remain closed till January 16. Whereas in Moradabad and Rampur, the school holidays of classes 1 to 8 of all boards have been extended till January 20. However, due to the cold wave, classes up to class 8 in all the schools of Gautam Buddha Nagar will remain closed till January 16.
